Job Description Summary

MiGenTra was incorporated in April 2021 with mission to develop and commercialize high-quality, affordable biologic medicines to serve patients across Africa and the Middle East. Combining the scientific and manufacturing expertise of its founding companies, ProBioGen AG and Minapharm Pharmaceuticals, MiGenTra specializes in biosimilars, cell and gene therapies (CGT) and vaccines.

MiGenTra portfolio includes three biosimilar products are already marketed in Egypt and 7 more in development at different stages, either in autoimmune diseases (rheumatology, gastroenterology, or dermatology) or oncology. And it is continuously striving to complement this already solid portfolio by in-licensing new products.

As we are on a high growth trajectory and preparing the launches of our next products, we are consistently looking for new talents. Right now, we are seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of a Marketing & Communications Manager.

Key Responsibilities

The duties of the Marketing & Communication Manager will include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Plan, develop, and execute multi-channel marketing strategy (including e-health/telemedicine) for MiGenTra’s portfolio of biosimilar products in autoimmune and oncology areas
  • Lead product-specific go-to-market strategy, including key market-shaping activities
  • Develop deep knowledge of Africa and Middle East market dynamics, environmental changes, competitor activities, needs and opportunities
  • Lead forecasting and financial analysis. Ownership for key financial tasks including the development of annual budgets, operating plan, sales forecasts, pricing strategies, etc. Effective budget control and resource management within predefined project budgets
  • Build strategic guidance once a year (brand planning) including tactical elements to understand opportunities and risks, customer insights and define appropriate tactics to meet and exceed these needs
  • Coordinate and develop all external and internal communication channels, including content creation, planning and organization of press releases, company presentations, newsletters, company website, and events participation
  • Understand the background science, product mechanism, and areas of strength for MiGenTra’s business relative to other options or supportive therapies
  • Develop and deliver key presentations to leadership
  • Maintain collaboration with key opinion leaders influencing selected brand
  • Constantly look for ways to innovate in our approach to marketing and communication, leveraging internal resources to deliver best-in-class plans

Qualification & Experiences

  • 5-10 years’ experience in similar role in the (bio)-pharmaceutical industry
  • Academic education in life sciences (MSc, PhD); degree in business administration or economics a plus
  • Solid experience in the marketing and sales of autoimmune and/or oncology products and biologicals
  • Solid experience in Africa and Middle East regions
  • Experienced in e-health/telemedicine highly desired
  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills
  • Experience in collaboration and management of external partners (distributors, agents, etc.)
  • Creativity, innovation, critical thinking, and ability to build on existing business resources and capabilities
  • Strategic thinking, ability to come up with innovative ideas for marketing campaigns and products and to develop long-term marketing plans that align with the company's overall business strategy
  • Project management and business planning experience
  • Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills as well as leadership abilities
  • Team player with a highly structured approach
  • High ethical standards and personal integrity
  • Experience in working directly with customers including negotiation activities and KOL Management
